Privacy Policy for Light Music Player

Last Updated: August 15, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Light Music Player ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with your use of the Light Music Player mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Do Not Collect
We strongly believe in user privacy. Light Music Player is a 100% offline, privacy-first local music player. We do not collect, store, track, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) or user data. This includes:
- Your name, email address, or contact details.
- Your photos, contacts, documents, or unrelated files on your device.
- Your location or device advertising identifiers.

The core function of the App—finding and playing your local audio files—is performed entirely offline on your device. Your music library, playlists, favorite tracks, and app settings are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to any remote server.

2. In-App Purchases (Optional Developer Tips)
The App offers optional one-time in-app tip purchases ("Buy Me a Coffee," "Buy Me a Donut," "Buy Me a Pizza") to allow users to voluntarily support ongoing app development.

All financial transactions are processed securely through Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your payment card details, bank info, or billing address. Google Play manages purchase verification and billing details directly in accordance with Gookgle's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

3. Permissions Required
Light Music Player
requests only essential device permissions required to play local music files:
- Read Media Audio / Read External Storage: Required to scan, display, and play audio files stored on your device's internal storage or SD card. The App accesses audio files only and never modifies or accesses any other file types.
- Foreground Service (Media Playback): Required to maintain continuous, uninterrupted audio playback when you switch apps or lock your device screen, providing playback controls (Play, Pause, Skip) in your notification shade and lockscreen.

4. Data Security
Because we do not collect or store any personal data on external servers, the risk of server-side data breaches is completely eliminated. Your playlist data and favorites remain securely stored on your local device under your operating system's sandbox protection.

5. Children's Privacy
Light Music Player does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect app updates or regulatory changes. Any modifications will be posted within the App or on our official store listing page.
